Introduction: The National Mosque

The Abuja National Mosque serves as lovely example of Islamic architecture. It is located in Abuja, built in 1984. To help balance with religious sensitivity of Nigeria, the mosque was purposely built across from the National Christian Centre.

The mosque consists of a main dome and four minarets. Additional technical information about the architecture and construction are rather hard to track down. Feel free to reach out to me, if you have visited the mosque, and would like to discuss the scale and engineering of it.
